Custom Design LEAD ACID Batteries

For some applications the simpler solution, heavy, robust, is still the right one. Although Lead acid batteries are not as common as they used to be, there are some systems where we will recommend them.

However, if we look at the Lead acid brands we will find that not all of them are cheap. There are brands designed for harsh environment (MIL-STD-810), with high discharge rate, safe and for long life.

Additional charging during the storage:

It is recommended to recharge batteries which are stored for long periods. Storage in high-temperature conditions raise the battery’s self-discharge and anesthetize the capacity. Following a chart which displays charge options each period.

16-24 hours, stable voltage 2.275V per cell	every 6 months	under 20^oC
5-8 hours, stable voltage 2.34V per cell	every 3 months	20^oC-30^oC
5-8 hours, stable voltage 2.34V per cell	avoid storage	above 30^oC
