14S battery pack in a 190mm (internal) tube, 300mm long.  The customer asks for Max energy.

The problem: In case that all you care for is Max energy in given volume, which solution is better?

Depends on four variables:

  • Cylider diameter – higher diameter support Li-Ion based solution
  • Cylider Length – longer support Li-Ion based solution
  • Battery Voltage – Higher voltage supports Li-Po based solution.
  • Battery requested capacity – Higher capacity supports Li-Ion based solution

In our case,         190mm internal diameter >>> 28+22+16+9+1 = 76 cells

                              300mm long = 4 × 18650 cells
